Snow white.
Once upon a time, there was a handsome Prince. He was blessed with many gifts and talents. All the kingdom praised him for his great works, and the Prince strived his best to establish and tend for his kingdom. But despite his blessings, he spent most of his days feeling empty, for he had nobody with whom to share his life. The Prince was alone.
One day the Prince went to the local market and there he met the most beautiful Princess. Her deep brown eyes drew him in and, when their gaze met, the Princess illuminated with an entrancing smile. Within the short time of a single sigh, the Prince had fallen in love. But, the blustering business of the marketplace swept them away from their moment, and the Prince was left without even learning her name.
The Prince turned to is advisors. He told them of the Princess’ beauty, and how she had touched his heart. The Prince was told to go back to the market and seek her out, to compliment the Princess, and to ask her to share a meal with him. The Prince was nervous. How could he be so forward when he did not even know her name?
Then, the Prince had an idea: he could go to the Wizard for help. Perhaps the Wizard could cast a spell to give the Prince the information he desired. Certainly the Wizard’s magic would give him the Princess’ name, but maybe it could even tell him how to capture the Princess’ affections the way she had his. The Prince’s advisors, however, warned him not to ask for any assistance from the Wizard, because he cannot be trusted, and all short cuts through magic have consequences.
But, the Prince did not care. He longed for the Princess in his heart and paid a visit to the powerful Wizard. At first, the spell did not disappoint. The Prince learned of the Princess’ name and heritage. He learned of her passions. He even learned when to be able to spot her again at the market. But there was more. The Prince also discovered that the Princess’ heart was already given to a Prince in another kingdom. This news shattered the Prince’s dreams. He journeyed home and rested in his castle all alone. A wave of sadness settled into the kingdom.
Once the Prince was feeling better, he decided to dress in his best robes and visit the market again. There again, he saw the beautiful Princess, but today there was no enlightening smile. The Princess looked sad and tired. The Prince inquired if she was alright, but the Princess feigned a half-smile, and the Prince did not question her further. The Prince returned to his castle with the heaviest sadness as he felt he could not help the Princess to regain her smile and, instead, he sat in his castle all alone.
