So I signed up for this website called Stickk. The key for commitment devices to work is that there be stakes. One thing this website does will is when you set up a personal contract, one of the stakes is an anti-charity donation. For instance, since I care about the environment and gay rights, I have to donate to the The National Center for Public Policy Research, an über-conservative think tank, if I fail to meet my goal.
Hopefully this works and I don’t go broke by giving money to the evil demons of this world.
